David Trotter, subject of the new

book

Shipwreck Hunter: Deep,

Dark and Deadly in the Great

Lakes

will discuss his work as a

renowned shipwreck discoverer,

deep diver, author, lecturer and

photographer. In over 20 years of

diving, he has been the first to locate, identify and doc-

ument over 70 Great Lakes shipwrecks. His shipwreck

discoveries and programs have also been featured on

television and in newspapers throughout the U.S. and

Canada. He has also written several articles on Great

Lakes shipwrecks for historical journals and national

scuba diving publications.

a program relating to his new book,

Detroit’s Historic Fort Wayne

. This

fort, built in the 1840’s to protect

Detroit from the British in Canada,

was used for military related purposes through the

Vietnam War era.

Bob Casey, Curator of

Transportation at The Henry Ford,

presents a program relating his new

book on the history of the Model T

Ford. With over 15,000,000 Model T Fords built

between 1908 and 1927, it was the car that put the

world on wheels. Sales of over 2,100,000 in its peak

year (1923) represented over 50 percent of the world

market, at a time when over half of all of the cars in the

world were Ford Model Ts.
