Three new online slideshows and online exhibits have been added to the Web recently. We invite you to log on to

St. Paul Cemetery
A slideshow of headstones and history of Grosse Pointe's only cemetery. The article by J. William
Gorski includes a history of the cemetery and the stories of many of the families buried there, among them Allard,
Beaufait, Cadieux, Frazho, Groesbeck, Newberry, Russell and Vernier.

slideshows of the Grosse Pointe schools she attended.
Stonehurst and the Schlotman Family
Tour the magnificent mansion, "Stonehurst," and learn about the "other" Ford
family whose estates graced the Grosse Pointe shoreline. Includes a section on the spectacular yacht, Stellaris.
Regina Sublima Music Box
The Society had the great fortune to be the recipient of a long-term loan of a Regina
Sublima Music Box with 30 music discs from Mike Dixon. Music is created when a
perforated metal disc rotates over a set of combs and dampers, tuned in chromatic
scale. It is fully operational and will be playable for tours and groups visiting the
Provencal-Weir House c. 1823, where it now stands in the dining room.
The Regina Music Box company was established by German immigrant Gustave
Brachhausen in 1892. Regina boxes have long been renowned among collectors for
the quality of their tone.
The box has been loaned by Mike in memory of his mother, Mrs. Peter (Joan) Dixon.
She had been a member of the Society since 1979.
