Nominations for 2007
Each spring, the Grosse Pointe Historical
Society awards Bronze Markers to historically
significant properties in the area. The plaques,
which have been awarded since 1986, bear the
Society’s logo, the French windmill that stood
on the shores of Lake St. Clair in the 1700s. It
recognizes historical and architectural value,
continued preservation, or adaptive reuse.
If you have a noteworthy house or building
that’s more than 50 years old, we’d like to hear
from you. Simply submit a description of the
building including its history, architect, style,
owners, and any thing else of interest, along
with a picture of the building. Call 884-7010
