Bring your heart and your sense of humor to your volunteer service, along with your enthusiastic spirit, which in itself is a priceless gift. What you'll get back will be immeasurable!
Would you like to help us grow in our mission? If you enjoy learning about local history, have a knack for teaching, would like to be a docent for tours, or just enjoy interacting with people, we may have volunteer work that would incorporate these aspects of your personality. Maybe you like to work with computers, or possess certain skills, such as filing, typing. Can you commit to 3 hours a day, a week, a month or a year?
Have you considered volunteering as a family? We have volunteer opportunities suitable for parents and children to do together, or for a husband and wife to take on as a team. When a family volunteers to work together at a nonprofit organization, the experience can bring them closer together, teach young children the value of giving their time and effort back to their community, introduce everyone in the family to skills and experiences never before encountered, and give the entire family a shared experience as a wonderful family memory.
Do you have an interest or hobby you would like to share? Maybe you know how to knit, can tell a great story, would like to assist at events, collect old trains,or want to teach people a history-related skill, we may be able to put an or program, class, lecture or exhibit together with your help. Maybe you know who would like to sponsor such a program?
