2 Clairview Road. Ford Ballantyne House. Colonial Revival house with classical details. Built in 1914 for secretary-treasurer of Michigan Alkali Company. Adjoining residence, "Fairholme," owned by Ballantyne's mother, Mrs. Speck, who, with sisters Mrs. Schlotman and Mrs. Torrey, was a granddaughter of Captain John B. Ford.
