Feast of St. Clare
Celebrate the anniversary of the naming of Lake St.
Clair with a mini-encampment. Re-enactors will
teach us about life as a voyageur in early Grosse
Pointe. Enjoy storytelling, crafts and games with Paul
Ignagni and friends.
Packard Proving Grounds
A slide presentation on the history of the famous facility
used for high-speed and rough-condition testing of auto-
mobiles. The Proving Grounds also contained engineering
labs designed to test engines, chassis, electrical compo-
nents, fuels, and lubricants under a variety of conditions.
